Good Afternoon!,
The photos filling the pages are stunning, to say the least...kudos to Peter for the beautiful portraits of the waterfowl!
Mark: I figured correctly on the half-of-something part......Great to see you here also!
This weekend was full of rituals; yesterday a Bat Mitzvah celebration for a friends' daughter , and today the "taxes"...
While it is still cold and overcast, the next crop of Mayflowers (Trailing Arbutus) have started their upward push...shot on the 5D MkII with the 100L Macro up front.

Peter, that looks like good exposure challenge.
Well, it shouldn't be as long as one follows two simple tenets of "realism" photography: work with the light, and do not try to bring out colours in photoshop which you didn't see on the target itself.
However, all of us do not always share the same taste and ideas.

Jerry seems to like this Wood pijun girl.
So today I shot her portrait for him.

Peter, I've never had my lady this animated about a photograph until she gazed upon your Lady Wood...
"Tell Peter I absolutely love it, this is the best images of his so far, I really love it, really love it...tell him!"
Me thinks you've found another fan Peter, this image is really stunning. From a technical point, the 600II and 1.4III really do a great job with IQ, there's just a slight bit of corner blur/fade but it actually adds to the background bokeh/smoothness, the remainder of the image is razor sharp!
Took a look at my poolside mallards, pure luck to get those shots...
And yes I do like the ladies
Keep these images coming, perhaps my workouts will be more successful then yesterday/today; 2hrs rollin this morning, maybe that FF body will appear before xmas!

To me, nothing says spring like the rainbow trout run along the Lake Ontario tributaries. These were taken at the Ganaraska River in Port Hope, Ontario.
Putting some older equipment to work here, 5Dc and 400mm F/5.6L

Peter: pijuns looking good- especially 1 and 3
GC5: you're right- nothing says spring like the crack of the bat and the smell of freshly cut grass! Nice vantage point, too bad about that screen! I see that Vandy's got a mini-green monster in left...
