Growing up in southwestern B.C. I've spent countless days in our temperate rainforests. They remain my favourite places to photograph. On this particular day, I watched this pair of Barred Owls mate, bond and hunt in this beautiful stand of Western Hemlocks. I jump on any opportunity to include habitat in my photographs and this grove provided a great surrounding. Hoping to spend more time with this species as the breeding season progresses.
