A few snowies from a few weeks ago.Love the auto focus on this camera. All are sequentialThe auto focus is so much better then a d300s or even d7000 tracking objects coming towards you..Just crops Doug M

It looks like you are using the Sigma 120-300, did you get the sport version? How do you like it on the D7100? Any AF issues?.....as you might have guessed I was thinking of giving it a go but my history with Sigma hasn't been very successful.

Thanks Dan. Yes it's the Sigma 120-300 Sport but I've sold it a while ago and got me a 300 2.8 VR. The only thing that didn't suit me was the weight, other than that it was very sharp, fast AF and great build quality. I didn't have to AF tune it but even if I had to, the Sigma dock would make that easy.
It's funny that the Sigma didn't need any AF tuning and my 200 VR and 300 VR both needed tuning on the D7100 & D600! Here's another shot with the same combo, of the same eagle

Is that a juvi bald eagle or a different type of eagle? With all the white on it's belly I instantly thought hawk but unsure which kind.
Thanks for the info on the Sigma, the AF is my main concern. I think I will pick one up from Beach camera since it looks like they are offering a generous 45 day return period.
