Wow, gorgeous set here, Kirk. beautiful light, great detail, nice poses, and lovely BG. These have it all. and the Avocet series takes the cake for me, 5,6,7 are killer good!

Really appreciate the very kind words Jim. This spot has been very good to me, but it doesn't look like a great spot until you get down really low. When I do get low and wait patiently... then the birds will eventually wander right up to me.

Great job with these Kirk. The Avocet looks like the same male I shot last Sat.
Hes in great breeding colors and you did a great job capturing him. The last shot is stellar!! Well done.
Thanks so much for the very generous words David. The next few months should provide some great opportunities for breeding and then chicks.

Excellent set of pics and nicely processed Kirk! You really managed to get up close and personal.
Best,

Many thanks for the wonderful words Tom. I get in my spot and just wait for the birds to get comfortable enough to eventually make their way over to me.
Loved the pictures, what nice birds ! I think there should be a photo of the photographer in position , haha, you were set up well to take them. Nice Work

Love those low angles. I take it you're not in your suit when taking these!! #1 is super, but #7 blows it away and definitely should be on your wall in large size. Those are such great birds. I'm jealous. Don
