Sorry to bring this up again, but it's been a month so I thought I'd ask again... with all the updates that have come since it's release, how usable is the X100 in 2016? I'm especially curious about whether they fixed manual focus and the speed of auto focus. The supposed uselessness of manual focus is my biggest concern. Thanks in advance!
The AF improvements are based on algorithm revisions; the MF is based on a different information stream through live view between the sensor and EVF.
I have had the X00 /S and now the T and each offers a different way to MF. I found the x100 got a substantial AF upgrade through firmware, but the MF remained cumbersome.

They're both electronically controlled by the camera's computer, it's not like the MF system is mechanical. Shame it wasn't improved with the AF.
My point was that the AF is improved by revising the software, whereas the MF function is strictly linear movement by the camera. Not much to improve there except the visual focus aids.
For my use, I find the X100T MF pretty good minus the split screen which I don't find useful. Still, I would love a sliding clutch on the lens similar to the XF 23 1.4 which shifts from AF to fully mechanical MF.

Here's a few with the x100t from my recent trip to the Northwest Territories. Love the small size, found myself shooting more semi-macro than I had expected (though these are just more traditional landscape images).
