Unitl the new MKIIs and IIIs lenses are announced. :Then the race starts all over again. There is no end to it. Just think you started with a 400 F2.8 USM MKI then the 400 F2.8 USM MKII then the 400L F2.8 IS USM MKI then the 400 F2.8 IS USM MKII you may skip generations and sell off the old ones, and you may fool yourself that there is a cure, the problem is Canon mutates the virus and the cure is no longer useful you have been reinfected you need your fix of the latest greatest or with second hand previous generation. Either way you are in bad shape. There is no miracle cure you are addicted for life. ...Show more →
Doomed, incurable, totally addicted, lost forever and up to my...in a sea of L glass
It's okay Telemeisterson worry not, nothing of a torrid nature is afoot, perverted perhaps this search for more glass...and btw, I didn't even hint of 'dark side' leanings, that would be just filthy
Ah yes, sorry I forgot. Maybe 1 beer to much last night.
The Canon gear was with me the last 15 years. And I still do not see why to change onto the shadows side of the road. I love to stay into bright sunlight.

Not only is the force very strong within you, Ralph, but your spiritual perception must also be something quite out of the ordinary. In order to support your special powers, I recomend that you invest in a 35mm f/1.4 as soon as possible!
I recently sold all of my lenses except the 24-70 II and 50L. I love the simplicity of this two-lens kit, and it does just about everything I need it to do (I shoot portraits almost exclusively). Eventually I'll probably add an 85L or 100L (or maybe 100/2).
I only own 4 lenses - in the process of buying a 5th . . . however, one of my lenses being priced @ 6-7k has sort prevented from having much dough to throw around on more smaller lenses (both financially and psychologically)
