Thanks Spencer! Like noted All of the pricing/sales is in the mix of being put up so that answers the one question! I'll take the rest of the critique and only make the site better, thanks for the time!

No price listed, but if I had to guess, $1500-2400. If you want to get into higher prices, then don't include a testimonial that says "we couldn't afford the $5000 photog so we hired DD and got a great deal".
If you are inexpensive, then I don't think listing a price is necessary
Spencer - Thank you so much for your feedback. I start at 3900 these days but I haven't updated my testimonial page since the early days. So thank you for catching it!. Would you have any other suggestions on improving the presentation?
Thank you for your time and willingness to help others!!
When I click on "weddings" it says its a password protected post. That would make me frustrated as a consumer that maybe I did something wrong. Just seems weird.
It's hard to say what I would expect to spend, because you don't give any indication. So this isn't just for you, but everyone that I've reviewed that didn't have pricing listed, if your intention is for them to have NO IDEA, then don't list anything.
From a user interface, you have multiple links on the same page for the same gallery. Your landing page is thumbnail links to your galleries. But if I click on "portfolio" it takes me to basically the same thing, just in a different layout. So, I think your website could have an improved layout and make it more logical to guide people in the direction you want them to go (make it as easy as possible for them to arrive at the conclusion that they might want to hire you), and DONT assume its because of your photography.
So the point of this thread isn't for me to "valuate" your worth, but for me to act like a consumer and see how much you might cost to hire. But now that I know your pricing (as a photographer) because you told me, I think that is VERY VERY low, and on the verge of giving a lot for nothing....Show more →
Thank you Spencer! I really appreciate the critique, it will take me some time to figure out how to put in practice your very wise words and figure out how to "guide clients to believe they want to hire me and not only because of my photography"... That's tough for me now! But this is why I'm here and it's certainly helping to hear what you experts think!
Tell that to all the brides who can't connect up with him ... who try but never even get a chance to see what he has to offer.
I'm just thinking of poor ole Sasso here. Checking my web stats, I see that most of my brides come to me through Internet Explorer. Here are the web traffic figures for January 2013:
Is this still going? I just did a makeover so Im interested in some feedback. (still tweaking in some areas) I try hard to work on a good presentation, I hope Im hitting the mark.
I would love any tablet users browsing this thread to take a view, my site is responsive to mobile devices and I haven't tested on a tablet. Only iPhone.
To the poster above me- IE is ranked four for me, 10.35%. Firefox dominates. About 10% mobile. Guess its different for other areas.

A lot of girls do some wedding planning from work and there Internet Explorer still dominates.
Maybe you're using an older version of Internet Destroyer? I know some things on my site look "off" when viewed with IE 8.
Come to think of it, if a site looks goofy on a legacy browser, i.e., the kind that Low Low Low Low budget brides are likely to have, then maybe that's a good thing.

weddings - $1500-2500
Are you really busy enough to have an associate photographer? How many weddings are you shooting a year, and how many does your associate photograph?
Once I clicked on weddings, there wasn't a way to get back to portraits/other sections of the site.
I think it would be helpful to list some pricing information about the senior section...
Also, for maternity, why is the session fee applied to their portrait package? It's only $75, did I read that correctly?
Based on all of this, I think you could easily increase your prices. If I were a customer, I'd expect to spend no more than $500 on any of the portrait stuff....Show more →
Thank you for the insight. I have been in the process of revamping some of the pricing and all of that. I am actually getting rid of the associate photographer part. The initial idea was to try to get additional revenue for things I didnt shoot (mainly lower end stuff), but that doesnt really fit the mold we are moving towards.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but, you need a new site. It's very clunky, generic, and isn't really polished. If you want photography to be a serious business, you need to really think about this. Nothing is more important than a photographers web presentation.
Also, I think you need to raise your prices Not really based on the quality of you work (which is good), but purely that people will start to take you more seriously when you charge more.
I didn't feel inspired to contact you based on the site, so price is irrelevant Again, purely on presentation. I think your work is good enough to charge double what you start at now....Show more →
Yes you confirmed what I've been thinking. I do need an update and a more polished site.
I've just been lazy about it.

Thanks!
As a website comment I think the background pattern is a bit too obvious. I would make it a tad lighter, reduce the contrast between the two tiles, and maybe reduce the size of the tiles. When I resize my window it also resizes the background, which is a distracting element of the interface.
When I jumped from "what others are saying" to "value", the value page was already scrolled down to the middle section. This might have been because I had scrolled down on the previous page and then clicked on the "value" option. So if someone had not noticed it, they would only be seeing the bottom portion of your pricing section.
$2100-4400. Good presentation, but the typography is kinda off, it doesn't really blend well with the site/logo. It can easily become a wall of text.
Your about me page is written in both 3rd person and first person, I prefer reading in first person personally.
weddings - $2500-4200.
portraits - $200-300. What are studio expenses and why should I care about extras as a consumer?
Events - something I've never understood about events vs wedding pricing...why are they different? Is your value proposition vastly different between the two?

Could you remove "portfolio" as a menu item, and just individually list "engagements, weddings" as menu items, instead of sub-menu items? If you have 3 or more similar sub-menu items then great, but having just two I think could be simplified by having them as parent menu items.
I kept waiting for the homepage image to change...
I think "say hello" should be "contact".
You tell me nothing about being able to hire you, and what I could hire you for, or even why I would hire you if you were even available. So with that said, based on visiting your site, I wouldn't expect to spend anything because I don't even know if this is a commercial business, or just an artists portfolio.
