As a website comment I think the background pattern is a bit too obvious. I would make it a tad lighter, reduce the contrast between the two tiles, and maybe reduce the size of the tiles. When I resize my window it also resizes the background, which is a distracting element of the interface.
When I jumped from "what others are saying" to "value", the value page was already scrolled down to the middle section. This might have been because I had scrolled down on the previous page and then clicked on the "value" option. So if someone had not noticed it, they would only be seeing the bottom portion of your pricing section.
$2100-4400. Good presentation, but the typography is kinda off, it doesn't really blend well with the site/logo. It can easily become a wall of text....Show more →
Thanks for the feedback! Never noticed the scrolling thing until you mentioned it, I'll have to see what I can do about that. I'll look into the typeface and background too. Thanks again
Very nice education! You really take the client and lead them through the thought process. "Not sure what you need? One of our consultants can help you with a photography timeline to help you find the right package for your wedding day. Please contact us now. " Great way to answer the question about custom packages, this is really good.
Destination - $1399
Other Wedding - $3200-5500.
Very easy packaging to understand, and the price for the album is $1k.
OK, these comments are for everyone else. Read this guys site, he's doing it ALL right and I'm sure he's booking a ton, and his 5 associates mentioned are likely making him good money. Lucky punk.
And he's doing it on Zenfolio. Not the best website design, but its effective in its sales ability to get me to understand that this guy would be the right guy. He does it quickly, assertively, without sounding too cocky or desperate.
No Pricing there (yet?), but I'd be very interest on how you'd sort me in.
Your images load with an overlay over them, and makes your photos look terrible. I'd remove this!
Hard to understand the weak Google translation to English, so it's hard to say how you're communicating it, sorry
I don't see any price, but you seem to give a long answer as to why you do not list a price. Not sure if thats a good thing, or even necessary. Don't make your potential customers jump through hoops in order to merely decide that you might be the one they hire.
I think your "questions to ask your photographer" sounds desperate. Why not use this page to explain why they should hire you, vs helping educate your visitors about other photographers?
Weddings - $1800-2400.
On your 5% back section, you talk about something very generous, and very serious. You used a smiley face after a statement, and I think it looks REALLY out of place. You have a very cool thing to say, in a very professional tone, and a smiley face just doesn't belong in there
I want to add to this thread as Ive browsed some sites here. You are gearing to a bride when IMO you should gear towards a couple. Grooms shop too. They are also part of the decision process even though the bride shopped. Photography is a big purchase. Its not all about the bride its about the two of them. Also there is the gay market.(if you'll work in that market)
And today more and more grooms are a big part of the planning.
I've never actually had any clients of my own yet, so I don't actually know how much anyone will end up spending. 2012 was my first year and I spent all year second shooting/assisting. Not really a catch, I just described it poorly. This year (2013) will be my first year out on my own.

Could you remove "portfolio" as a menu item, and just individually list "engagements, weddings" as menu items, instead of sub-menu items? If you have 3 or more similar sub-menu items then great, but having just two I think could be simplified by having them as parent menu items.
I kept waiting for the homepage image to change...
I think "say hello" should be "contact".
You tell me nothing about being able to hire you, and what I could hire you for, or even why I would hire you if you were even available. So with that said, based on visiting your site, I wouldn't expect to spend anything because I don't even know if this is a commercial business, or just an artists portfolio....Show more →
I've been lurking around the forum for a while now, and feel a little intimidated by all of the greatness that is posted here! It's time that I finally post and hopefully learn even more from everyone... so here we go.
www.bkmphotography.com .... have at it! : ) Thanks for doing this, by the way.

weddings - £900-£1650. You make it sound absolute, give it a feel that they could spend more. I hate the word "quote", its a major turn-off for me because it sounds like work and waiting is involved.
portraits - £145-£500. They might spend more, but giving them a top range might be hurting your sales.
Thanks for your feedback. I've tried to change the wording and make things a little clearer, hopefully for the better.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Perhaps I might try adding some prices - which is quite uncommon in germany, though.
