Up for sale is my M8... it's been a bit of a tough decision as to whether or not I really wanted to get rid of it, but then again, does anyone ever really WANT to get rid of a Leica? I have decided that given the amount of money I have tied up into the body plus lenses, I am better off focusing on the Fujifilm X series and my Canon bodies. So here it is, a perfectly good M8 in fine working order, in user condition.
** Updat: shutter count is 38,946. *** I have had it less than a year, bought from someone whom I think was the original owner.
The rangefinder is perfect near as I can tell. With the magnifier I can accurately focus my Canon LTM 50mm 1.2 wide open. Ditto for my 85mm f/2. The mechanicals and viewfinder are all just great. I also shoot with flash and can report that works just fine too.
I am including a 3rd party (I assume) 1.25x magnifier which is a great help focusing wide aperture and telephoto lenses. Also including 2 3rd party batteries along with the genuine Leica (I think) battery it came with. The charger is a nice upgrade - it's not the original Leica behemoth - it's the newer compact charger. Works great and takes up MUCH less space.
Once the body goes, I'll probably have a couple of lenses I will be looking to sell.
As a minor note, I've bought and sold many items via FM over the last few years, never a probleml
