Out at Carolina Beach with only my G10. Shirtsleeve late afternoon, slightly cool evening. This is January 15? Anyway, although a point & shoot isn't ideal for action, dynamic range, selective focus (let alone quick focus) or any number of other things, it sure beats a cell phone camera for control. Here are a few things I caught in a walk this afternoon after my work was done.
Colors not this dramatic in reality - this is *my* reality!
Just like at the concert, I had an audience
Reserved parking is really popular in the off season
Jess, really impressive set of images from that G10
Might just have to dig out my G12 and give it a go, will have to work on my game a bit tho...
Nice seeing/shooting.
Jerry
I may as well round out the series of G10 photos from this overnight tour. Three ocean shots before sunrise at the hotel, and an abstract (with disguised self-portrait) at the school concert site after lunch.
Just back from NV and a side trip to Death Valley to a taste of winter today at my home. Taken with my newly converted FDn 24mm f2 (Ed Mika kit) on the 5D MkII.
Robin, thanks for reminding me how snow improves the look of almost everything, including even trash bins and power lines!
Edd, I'm likewise guessing that your nice panorama would not have had the same charm before the snowfall. I used to have the cousin to that 24/2.0 in my Canon FD days, namely the 28/2.0.
