Very nice pic Rob but I must confess I'm puzzled. How come the sun isn't moving?
Happy shooting,
Yakim.
I'm puzzled too Rob. It seems like at least 20 minutes of star rotation (I'm guessing more like an hour) but the clouds and waves seem like they were shot with a shutter speed of a few seconds.
I know this is a shut up and shoot thread, but does anyone know if you can customize the DOF preview button to be used as AI-Servo like the 5D3? Basically being able to toggle AI Servo and On Shot mode. Wasn't sure if this feature was available on the 6D.

Its a blend, the main image is 2 * 7 bracketed shots at sunset HDR'd with the stars (and most of the upper half) layered later. Stars were about 100 30 second shots. The light is a lighthouse

You can customise it, dont have the 6d to hand atm so dont know the options.
Its in a good location apart from I keep hitting it with my little finger by accident...
Cool thanks Rob. Seems like it's possible then. Reason I ask is if I do decide on getting the 6D over the 5D3 this feature would be useful for a wedding I'm going to shoot and if it's something I may continue to do in the future.

I can confirm this too, as it is currently set that way on my 6D. It's a great little feature to have when moving from static portraits, to portraits with motion.
Ok last question then I'll shut up. Anyone tested the AF-assist beam with any of the Canon flashes (430II, 580II, 600) and the AF issue/hunting that many people seem to be complaining about on the 5D3? Just curious if the 6D also has this problem.
