This dragonfly is really quite neon pink in color. There is some luminiscence in the tail area which is caused by flash bouncing off the leaf.

Bug eyes... reminded me of those "eyes-tracking-your-mouse-movement" programs back in Windows 3.1 days..

I love the composition of the second one. Very elegant. And the last one, it looks like the bug is looking back over his shoulder at you.

Great shots on your dragonfly series, Wenyao.
It's a tad grainy but no nit to pick here. I like the first one the best.

Thanks for the comments! Yup, these pictures were taken at ISO1600 - I'll try to run some noise reduction software on them later to clean up the noise and grain.

These are very nice images. I have never seen dragonflies this bright. The second one I really like the way it is positioned on the leaf.With the leafs out of focus edge getting sharper as it leads to the subject, well that is just perfect.
