Pretty incredible stuff on this page.
Great work! Love the rolling lambo shots.
And MMauro72, those shots are amazing. So rich.
The Corvette was a body off frame restoration and was recently acquired by a member of our exotic car club.
He picked me up for the shoot and the car was amazing. Better then new. The carpet, body, seats everything was perfect and new. Just perfection,
The side pipes are loud and the car attracts as much attention as any exotic. Car guys are so much fun. They know how to enjoy themselves.
Thanks for the comments everyone.
The lighting setup was very simple. When in Camden travel light.
I hand fired an SB-900 at full power half a dozen times. Trying to light each panel.
There is nothing scientific about it, it's a very crude method but you can pull it off on a light colored car.
You will find it heats up an SB-900 fairly quickly and will toast a new set of batteries in no time as well.
I need to dial in a lot of DOF anyway so I stop down the lens to F14-F22 depending on available light and what will give me at least a 30sec exposure.
This allows the strobe to cycle and fire e ought times to light the car.
Sure some soft boxes and at least 3 lights and stands remotely fired would make for a more repeatable result but you just don't want to try to pull that off in Camden at night.
That is way more attention and all that gear slows your exit from the venue if you have to leave on a dime.
I was out again last night in that area shooting one of my personal cars.
I have another venue I will explore soon. Hopefully it will give up some shots to me.
I leave you with these.
