A small sample from the Porsche Museum (Stuttgart) during a recent trip to Germany. I also visited the Mercedes-Benz factory (3 hour tour - no photos), and Museum (photos ok).

Jefferson...question about the second ALMS shot, what are your sharpening settings, and which type of sharpening are you doing?
Hey Travis… That shot was originally taken in September of ’09 at the Petit LeMans. I converted the CR2 into a .jpeg and didn’t keep the RAW… shooting just over a year… just purchased whatever ver. of LR was out…
Anyway, I dug up these shots from one of my old unlisted SmugMug galleries… ran them through LR4 and liked the gritty look I came up with… The sharpening was from the original .jpeg in I think LR2… set a bit too high if I remember the criticism I received in my posts in the Sports Forum correctly…
Anyway, I like them… may print one or two on canvas and see what they look like… There’s a place in Gainesville that does canvas I want to try…
Hope to get some bikes in next week… Read that new stuff…
I thought that the noise/grit was from being over sharpened by a fair bit, that grit can be achieved without the over sharpening, that over sharpening to me makes them look crunchy, do you have elements or Photoshop, or just LR?
When I shot these, I was under the impression that shots had to have fast shutter speed to be sharp... I think these were ISO 800 and 1/2000 or something... my pans looked like parked cars...
Found these from '09 ... ran them through LR4... don't do graphics so I just use LR...
Just making lemonade from some lemons... maybe too much sugar...
