see, for me, the helmet in a closed cockpit car is not what needs to be sharp...its nice if it can be, but when the fenders, either leading or trailing are OOF...my eye doesn't like it as much.
Getting two cars in a nice pan is good for action, I do like trying to catch that.
Cars of the past were more like works of art than what we have today... Missed the Mitty because of rain, but I hope to get to the HSR... historic cars... this fall...
Snaking headers and velocity tubes... real guages!
those are all from the HAWK at Road America in 2012. I'm sure I'll be back this year with some different glass to get more shots. The access you get at vintage events is so much better than even with press credentials at real races (at least the big boys) that it's really a photographer's dream to shoot the old cars. Plus, most of us grew up drooling over pictures of those cars and rarely saw them for real. The 917 in Martini colors was a dream come true for me - what a car, finally in front of me. Similar experience when I stood next to the SR71 for the first time a few weeks ago. Takes some of the mystique away, but still awesome.
Hello Everyone,
I havent posted here before, but last weekend gave me an opportunity to get out and take some pictures. These were taken at an old car hill climb event in Surrey UK. My panning techniques isnt up to much, but I thought I would post a couple to see if anyone found them of interest.
