a couple of pages back someone posted an angel statue backlit and some rain coming down, I tried finding the original post in order to give the poster the credit for the idea
they gave me for a shoot with my little one.
The first photo I deliberately overexposed the background..
the second photo was the idea I got when I saw the statute with rain

Now that's a nice lookin' bike! Single cog one the front, so what, 11 on the back? I have an elderly Moots YBB I've been meaning to bring up to something closer to current spec. Got a Cannondale Lefty Carbon waiting to go on the front, but still trying to work out an optimal gearing setup. Needing new geartrain, wheels, brakes and pedals. Also thinking of a shorter stem and wider bars… It's been a while since I turned a crank in anger, so a bit behind the times with knowing what the latest gear is, I'm afraid.
Chris,
I just went from a 26 with triple up front old school style to this bike... I wish I would have
made the change to 29er and the single up front sooner. Loving the bike. Biking is what
helps me keep my sanity with the everyday hustle and bustle...
been riding for 18 years and love it.
I keep trying to find reasons I don't need this lens, but it keeps pulling at me like no other piece of gear ever has. My 300/2.8 AF-S II boosted my rodeo shots like no other lens has. I found that too restrictive as at times, it was a little too long. Got a 200-400/4 VR2 and love the range and excellent contrast, but I do notice a big difference going from f/2.8 to f/4. I'm lucky enough to shoot in good lighting (most of the time) for now, but I'm dreading the day the clouds come out or have a night event. f/4 will really crunch into my low ISOs and high shutter speeds that I've become used to.
200/2 could essentially give me three different lenses and from what people say, there is little change in focus speed and sharpness with using TCs.
This thread is probably one of the most expensive ones around...( I bet it caused some divorces)
Resistance is futile
I'll try.....to resist. 4 a while.
