Made the jump today and purchased a 200mm f2 VRI.
Hey Corey,
I will always remember that baby portrait shot you did with the 300 2.8 and it was awesome. Can't wait to see what you'll produce with the 200/2.

Thanks Joseph. I loved the 300mm F2.8. Great lens for portraits other than the working distance.
Here's another landscape image taken with this lens this last winter. Taken from Camano Island, it shows Whidbey Island in the foreground, and the Olympic Mountains in the background.
Nikon D810, 200mm f/2.0 lens, 200mm, f/8, 1/60s, 64 ISO
This particular image was taken on a monopod, with VR on. Zoomed in 100%, you can see individual trees on the mountains in the far distance. It actually is a great landscape lens, just a beast to lug around.
Just picked up a VRII on the BS board. This is actually my 3rd copy the first 2 being VRI
This time I will be be getting rid of this lens. Will be using it for my commercial work but
could not help testing it out on my Mistress

Now that's a nice lookin' bike! Single cog one the front, so what, 11 on the back? I have an elderly Moots YBB I've been meaning to bring up to something closer to current spec. Got a Cannondale Lefty Carbon waiting to go on the front, but still trying to work out an optimal gearing setup. Needing new geartrain, wheels, brakes and pedals. Also thinking of a shorter stem and wider bars… It's been a while since I turned a crank in anger, so a bit behind the times with knowing what the latest gear is, I'm afraid.
A couple from today.
Took my little one to scout a location and she's always willing to help. It was an overcast winters day but we managed a few.
My youngest son came along, mainly to jump in puddles and hit things with a stick (little boys )
He said dad take my picture so snapped one of him, the 200 just makes magic. This one straight out of the camera just converted in CP1.
