Well, the lens arrived yesterday. Horrible weather here so no chance to get out. Still, I was able to take a quick shot of my daughter and her cousins. No time for good lighting (just a bounced SB 910 on the ground in front mixed with some available light).
I'm really looking forward to getting to know this lens better. Roll on some decent weather!
I never shoot weddings, but this couple wanted to do something a little different and gave me free reigns to do what I wanted to do. Lucky with all the lights this time of year Most people probably won't like the car in the foreground, but I think it really helps frame the shot and make it more interesting.
If anyone is looking for one of these bad boys on the cheap, I see KEH has one listed for just $2699 at the moment. Ex condition, but has "Front Filter Ring Damaged."
Not that this lens has a front filter ring, but there you go.
This is purely a public service announcement… I have zero connection to KEH.
Seriously tempted to get one !
Can I just ask the owners in here, what % of your shots are handheld with the Chubby?
I only handled one once (Mk1) and boy is it heavy !
