This is a great lens, grossly underestimated... I have the HSM non-OS version that I've been trying to sell myself... Unfortunately the market for non-oem glass is very small.

I'll second the praise for this lens. I had it on my D200, and have been searching for something comparable to put on my D3 to get that wide end with close focusing that I became so addicted to while using this lens.
