Jury is still out, I'm not completely sure you would be satisfied with the price premium over a cheap 5Dc haha.
The image quality jump seems to be quite big, but I think that is probably the only/main area that a stills shooter would notice much of an improvement over the Classic.

It shoots video, too, right?
Seems like it would be a better choice for me over a 5DII (if I was thinking about an "upgrade").
I'd like to try to get a sense of the the sensor differences between the 5Dc and 6D (and I am not talking about megapixels, but about colour, and the whole digital/organic thing). One thing I really dislike is shooting weddings with two distinctly different sensors. Makes PP a PITA.
The worst of these combos was 20D plus 1D. Such a battle to "match" the look of the shots.
One other thing that the 6D may have going for it for you Paul, is there is some indication that the mirror strike issue may be less of an issue. There is at least one report of a FL 55/1.2 user that has found that the 6D mirror clears his lens, where the 5DII doesn't. It would make using your Rokkor that much easier.
You know, I considered waiting for the 6D since it seemed like it would be a great upgrade for me (from a 5Dc). I think if I still used a lot of alt lenses it would have been the camera I went with. However, I have noticed that I just suck at MF and I've been shooting more AF lenses (travesty!). For me, the AF system just didn't seem like much of an upgrade from the 5D or 5D II -- except for the center point. For MF users its a non-issue but for me it was kind of a deal breaker since I like using the outer AF points. It looks like a great lightweight camera and if it has better mirror clearance then it should be a great camera for MF lenses.

Indeed, this is an attractive feature. Mirror-modding is not as big of a challenge as most think it is, but having a camera that doesn't require it is even better.

Where did you see this report out of curiosity?
I knew someone would ask me that....first answer was....I can't find it now. Turns out it was OpticalFlow on page 3 of this thread...second hand reporting, but it give me some hope. (I got the lens wrong though)
if you want a 35mm for FF, look into the new Sigma 35/1.4. I just got mines few days ago and its awesome! beautiful lens .. almost zeiss-like. Sharp as well.
Just in time for some cold crummy weather! I've only had it a few hours and already like a lot of the features. The viewfinder is better than I thought it would be, lenses pop into focus nicely. Controls and feel are nice. Definitely not a small camera compared to the GH2, but smaller than the 7D, and tiny in the hand compared to the 1DsIII. The WiFi and GPS features will get used. But, the best part so far is...
No mirror strikes on any of the following C/Y Zeiss lenses;
2.8/28 MMJ with Fotodiox Adaptor
1.4/35 AEG with a Leitax mount.
1.4/50 AEJ Fotodiox Adaptor
1.4/85 MMJ Fotodiox Adaptor
2.8/135 MMJ Fotodiox Adaptor
Time to set up some test shots in the studio to look at ISO and IQ comparisons.
I'm loving it so far. OOC Jpegs are nice and the high ISOs are great. And to be honest, my favorite "feature" is the silent shutter...makes a HUGE difference compared to the 5D in my mind.
Here's one from tonight on it and the Sigmalux (no edits except for resize):
