Been away for a while so I have some catching up to do in enjoying all the images that have been posted in the past month or so. In the meantime, here are some pictures taken at the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race on Boxing Day last year.

Anyway, here are three from this morning's walk with Miss Abby.
Unfortunately, during our walk, the built-in flash made a loud, cracking noise when taking a photo and then ceased to operate thereafter. I'm not sure whether it makes economic sense to repair it (or even if I'm in a position to do so regardless of the cost, because I also need to replace an a/c unit this month and my budget can stretch only so far...), so I may have to fall back to using my Fuji X100S for a while.
(FYI, this latest failure makes it official: The Sony RX1 is now the least reliable camera I have ever owned, film or digital. I love the photos it takes, but otherwise, I'm getting ready to climb a tall tower and drop them -- Yes, glutton for punishment that I am, I own a pair of them -- so I can laugh with devilish, maniacal glee when I watch them smash to smithereens against the ground far below!)

Sorry to hear that, but do let me know - I would gladly catch them, with or without working flash... ;-)

The price of the RX1RII finally came back to what it was originally. I was saving to buy one and then the price jumped $600 and I gave up (but kept saving). So, I'll be buying one today finally. Out of stock at B&H, but hopefully in a week to 10 days I can start adding photos here.
