Brought my newly purchased Rx1RII to Japan. I could not make this shot without the help of a tilt screen, shooting over a raised glass panel. I could not see that much detail of the scene without the 42MP resolution. Maybe I should retire my Otus 55/1.4? I have owned the Rx1R for 2 years and it has been my most favourite camera. The Rx1RII is just phenomenal.
I did not crop the photo for one bit. For the pixel peepers, high resolution can be seen on my Flickr page, though my processing may not do this little beast any justice

I'm excited. I sold my RX1 and A7II, 28mmf2, and 55mf1.8 to get the RX1rII. It is big move but I think it fits my photo needs perfectly.
I look forward to hearing your observations! I have two GRs and recently acquired a used RX1. So far so good, next to the GRs. Fullframe is a thing of its own! Let us know please.

A quick question guys!
Can't I assigned the AEL button on the RX1 to be the focus button? I hate having both the focus and shutter on the shutter button.
I think I have tried all the functions on the camera and I can't get this. The closest I could get was Focus Hold on the AEL, but that is annoying, having to press half way the shutter first and then press (and keep it pressed) the AEL button until I decide to snap the shot.
