Thanks for the good information. Do you see it on the original also ?? Think is dirty processing?
I overlaid both photos in Photoshop and couldn't find any similar kind of banding in the original shot. It was probably caused by processing. Did you add any grain to the shot? I wonder if adding grain (artificial or scanned) and then resizing the image might cause something like that..

Not your typical early shot with a new camera or lens.
Tried a long exposure (7 minutes) on the Rx1r2.
A little noisy, but cleaned up OK in photoshop.
Haven't done much of this but will compare to a Nikon D810 to see if this is a viable lightweight option for this kind of work.
Sandy Beach in Hawaii.
f8, iso100.
Edit: I took another long exposure with green foliage and the hot pixels are quite apparent. More work needed.

Wow 7 min. The subject looks sharp. Did you buy locally Joe?

No, B&H. Lucky the fellow stayed relatively still. A little ghosting, but not too bad. jtgray wrote:

Joe, you're a hard act to follow.
My RX!Rii delivered to office today - fired up the battery and only had a few minutes for a quick walk to try it out. These were both MF since I didn't really have time to set up the camera. Conversion in Capture 1 9, which I downloaded last night.

Arrrrrgh,I was so hoping not to love the little s****r! I could have bought a A7II as a second body and gone on with my life. But your images are desperately tempting. Congrats to all, Fred, Jeff, René, Zipe, Joe! You make a great case for this camera!
