Yeah, I was helping a friend with lighting design for her black-box production of True West. And then we started drinking. And that's when she started posing the dolls in obscene positions. And then we drank more and that's when this thread came to mind.
I have a nice little collection of historical lenses and a few vintage cameras, but nothing nearly as modern as what I see posted here. Is there a thread started somewhere for older stuff? By older I mean pre-war*.

Just added the 1.4/85 so had to get everyone together for a family picture.
Nice!
How do you like the 135/2.8? I got one at a good price about 6 months ago, but...so many lenses, so little time...! I also have the (dare I say on this forum) 135/2 L, so it's under strong competition.

It's funny, I picked mine up the same way, couldn't pass up the deal, but didn't really think much about it.
The more I work with it though, the more it grows on me. I'll agree with most people on here that its nothing "spectacular" but at the same time, for its size and feel, it's a lot of fun to shoot. I find it a bit underrated really. I get a bit of fringing wide open, but it cleans up nicely in LR4, and the background separation even up to 5.6 is really nice. The color and contrast are very pleasing to me, and I love the flare I get with it.
One thing that gets in the way for me is the MFD. A few people have told me to try it out with a 12 or 25mm tube, but I haven't had time to seriously try that.
