C'mon admit it. There is no relation between ISO 400 and being lazy. I think you're expecting everybody to shoot under ISO 400 huh ? .
That was not my point so I am not going to try to defend it.

There are places that you can't bring tripod. I admit though base ISO IQ is very impressive. I might pick it up if the price drops some more for landscape, I'm too cheap .

DP2 is sorta "one film speed" pony, but it does it great so why not.
As most mirrorless its meant to complement something else, not to be "one and only". Unless you shoot only landscapes and still lifes.

It's a good value as a landscape camera for $800 in my opinion, particularly if it's complementing another system. Other mirrorless body/lens combos will cost much more and won't deliver nearly the IQ.

tripods don't make people stand still, but there are lots of other reasons not to choose the camera for shooting people. it's great within certain contraints, but if you want an everything camera this ain't it.

I was just guessing what rattymouse meant. Maybe I should add this sign "?" to the end of sentence..
Im perfectly aware of limitations. I think DP with 50/2.8 might be interesting as ppl camera too. Havent seen bokeh yet tho.. And it will be far from "all-around" solution.

My 5D3 is seeing very little landscape use now that I have the DP2M, it does, clearly, beat the 5D3 in the resolution department and is so portable, even with the lightweight Benro tripod I use it with, far better than lugging the DSLR and RRS beast around ( which I used to, even on 20 Km treks).

I have seen excellent images from the Merrill sensors at ISO400. So it's a 3 film speed camera, 4 if you dont mind monochrome at ISO800.
