You make a good point about the people/portraits. It would be better perhaps, if you made your images a tad smaller so those of us with a mere 30" screen can still see the whole image without scrolling ... ?
We were in an old hotel yesterday. I used the RX100's built-in HDR function for this shot. I think it did an excellent job of capturing the look of the lobby area.
One at sunset from Big Lost Cove Cliffs in NC. Unfortunately somehow RAW was turned off and this jpeg is all I had to work with, but still LR4 was able to save the day.
Thanks to all for the comments on the hotel lobby shot. Wish I could take more credit, but all I did was compose the shot. That little camera did the heavy lifting. It was shot with the HDR function set to the "2" setting - hand held, no less. Really a pretty amazing little pocket camera, IMO.
Actually, I have been distracted by my recent DP2M and NEX 7 purchases to pick up my RX100. Gave up all my DSLR gear recently and need to get back out there and shooting and put my RX100 to use!
@trale compared to the OMD-D,NEX,and the Fuji cameras... Just saying... I check out the post to see what the cameras can do. This camera doesn't have too many users posting their pics...

I asked about comparison to non-system, fixed lens, single standalone P&S cameras.
When you're trying to compare this to cameras like OMD-D and & NEX, you are not comparing what the camera can do. You are comparing a single camera (RX100) vs entire family of models + lens. Not to mention those systems have been out for longer.
Not exactly apples & oranges.
So can you post some "picture thread" links to other stand-alone cameras so we can get a idea of how many posts they got within the same time frame that the RX100 currently is at?
