None of my buddies thought it was a good idea to take a ride since it had been raining a lot lately, and then some snow on top of that. I expected a mud and ice bonanza, but it was fantastic! Just me, the silence and the moon.
I'm totally amazed by this camera. This is a night shot, out my back window - no light, ISO 1600. Hand held, using manual exposure and manual focus. Raw file processed in C1 with all corrections and luminance NR turned completely off to gt a true sense for how the lens and sensor could handle the scene. I'm.... impressed.
As a side question - this was shot at the "24mm" end. I couldn't help but notice that the default cropping of the Raw file had a fairly decent chunk cut off of either side. The version here was cropped by expanding beyond said default. I don't know if this is to compensate for in-camera distortion correction, or if it's because I had SteadyShot enabled - any clues?
