Don't know if the last pictures above are from Hong Kong or Helsinki with that remark about it raining. I've been thinking about getting this camera when my Samsung TL 350 conks out. It has a bigger sensor and better High ISO than the Samsung and has the Zeiss lens also. I held one in a store and didn't know if I liked how small it was though. The price is a little steep in addition.
All 3 are taken in Helsinki. I was in Helsinki... just left there a few hours ago. Now I am in Tallinn.
My RX-100 is MK 1, not sure the one you were trying is Mk 1 or Mk 2, the newer one is slightly bigger (thicker). To me, small size is what I want. If you want something bigger, maybe you can consider adding a grip or get a M43 instead. (GM-1 without grip is about the same size)
Regarding Zeiss lens... just ignore the Zeiss logo, the lens does not feel anything like Zeiss, maybe Zeiss T* coating at best IMO. In fact, I think the sensor deserve a better lens, but then overall it's still one of the best compact camera.
Took the rx100 to my recent trip at Disney. This was the last shot of the day after having a drink in all 11 countries and the outpost. Not bad eh? Dark side of the sphere by [email protected], on Flickr
few shots at work. I was in the abandoned portion of the psychiatric hospital where I am working. I'm going to ask the security guys if I can bring my a7 and shoot some more in the abandoned section because I love abandoned disused buildings. quick shots I rushed because I didn't want to get written up lol.
