Just looked back at the few I shot that morning and played with this one in an HDR sort of thing… It was very strong light, but this might be overcooked for the intent.
Hmm!
David I think I agree with you in the " might be somewhat overcooked". Having lived in Co. I know how vivid those sunsets can be but this might be a bit over the top. Do I notice a bit of a lean to the house on the left??
Haven't tried the hdr thing yet with this camera but am getting some pretty decent shots. Clarity and color are quite outstanding on most shots requiring very little to no post ps work.

Yeah, thought so too. I did very little beyond the colors in Nik Color fx, but now I see the leaners on the left.
Most times I don't mess much, but thought I would play with this one as it had so much color already.
Hi, I have just bought the Sony Filter Adapter for the RX100.
It attaches to the camera by means of GLUE !!!
Do any of the people here have any experiences with this ?
( I have not yet glued it on to the lens )
I considered getting a filter adapter but when I read that it had to be glued on I decided to wait for something different. Not sure what that 'something different' could be tho. I don't really see any other way to attach any device to this camera but maybe someone will.
Yeah, the problem is this : the part, that has to be glued od, is fragile plastic.
It will surely have to be replaced over time and the removal is done by "sawing" with a string, leaving glue residue, that in turn has to be removed by brute force or solvent.
I guess I just wasted my 50 bucks.

I have this filter adapter by Carry Speed/Mag Filter
Small adhesive ring sticks to front of lens and the filter part attaches by a magnet.
I saw the Carry Speed on Amazon too. Didn't buy it tho because I was hoping there might be something out there that doesn't require you to stick glue on the front of this camera.
I sure can't think of another way but maybe someone a lot smarter than me will come up with something.

It may seem like a bad idea, but honestly isn't. If you attach it and have to remove it (done that), the removal is pretty easy, and leaves no residue to speak of. I had to re position mine after discovering that the initial install left a weird vignette effect in one corner on bright images. I pulled it off using a plastic lever thingy, from the edge. Slow and gentle pressure removed it without incident.
Picked up a Mk II to see if this might make a nice travel camera. Just carried it around today and took some snap shots. Need to figure out the auto/Manual focus but I like the image quality so far.
I am enjoying what each of you are capturing with this little Sony. I have only handled mine a couple of times so lots to learn! But, your post encourage me to use it more!
Regards to all,
Greg
