Just bought a RX100, it's on its way. I have a Canon 5DIII + L lenses but wanted something really small. I also have a NEX6 which is up for sale now. Love the NEX6, it's an amazing thing but still a tad too small for my liking, and it's a bit annoying to also want 'better' glass for the NEX6 when the same thing happens with my SLR. So the RX100 should put a stop to that ache too

I've only had mine a week but have discovered what a great little gem this is. Because of it's diminutive size I can always have it with me. For myself and probably for most of us carrying around an slr and multiple lenses is not something we can do on a day to day basis. This camera changes all that and provides an excellent quality result.
Just received my RX100 and only had time to take a few quick snaps of my youngest daughter playing around in the garden. Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed.
btw: somehow the pictures look better when viewed via photoviewer or in lightroom compared to chrome/firefox or on my desktop. any idea how to fix this?

Welcome to the RX100 thread.
Pretty lil lady, btw. I probably spend more time shooting my kids than any other subject.
This was taken from Amtrak's Chicago bound Capitol Limited seven minutes after leaving the South Bend, Indiana station. There'd been overnight lake effect snow. It's an equestrian center. You can find it on Google Maps, if you're patient.

I wish I had focused a tad further into the first photo.
Second crappy photo is just me bitching a little bit about the weather today (hail). Hrrrmph. Broke all my vehicle's windshields. I shot video with the RX100 and now I can watch my car getting dimpled like a golf ball over and over again.
