Thanks my friend, I appreciate that. And yes, this is something I shall not forget for a loooooooong time. I had brought the 24-105 thinking I'd use it for some landscape work. Go figure. Glad I didn't leave it behind.

Ummmm, I'm a little late to the party and read the update on the shot.
Holy smack that is one hair raising shot you got Henrik! I'd have to say that that bear gifted you this opportunity for your true, sincere respect for nature and its animals. I bet you felt a whoooosh of wind when it strolled by, I can't get over that eye contact he made with you.............no doubt who was in control of this situation!
Congrats my friend, I can't see any reason not to share your other images with us too I would love to also have seen a shot from behind you that included you into this shot!

I personally have shot with Henrick and he is always concerned with getting to close but when a bear approhes you what would this know it all think we should do ?? Lots has been said Henrik, and there should be lots to say about such a dynamite shot. Great pose, lovely BG, low angle is exceptionally effective, and the light is wonderful. Combined with your talent and gonads of polished steel, the result is incredible.

Hi Henrik, great shot! and thanks for adding the additional information. I think that as many of us here know, if you are out around wildlife a lot, sometimes you subject just comes to you. I'm really glad you shared this shot, and the story behind it.
