Lovely, it was my dream job as a youngster and to tell you the truth, it still is. If I got to pick one job in the world it would be fire bombing...
Took a gliders licence when I was 16 but unfortunately military service a few years and school afterwards halted it a bit. Together with that and a way too crowded airspace where I live, combined with high costs and hard to collect a good amount of flying time in the short summers with have and everybody else who wants to rent the airplanes I was never able to get enough time to make it worth the costs. Changed to sailing instead which I've been born and raised with since young and love that as well
