Thanks! It's just a matter of time before Sony jumps on this shifting sensor technology which was developed by Hasselblad. With a larger sensor, you can probably get 150MB files per shot! I am curious to see how good Canon's new 5Ds/5Dsr will be and how it will compare to the A7r II.

Wow! Both images are unique, Bobby!
Regarding the sensor-shift technology: for Olympus it's a necessary (and smart) move to improve the resolution of their sensors. There wasn't much development in their sensors over the last years and like Canon they will loose users if they can't close the gap to Sony a bit. For Canon this could be a game changer, too, if they consider a similar sensor-shift technology. It can give the best of both worlds: a highly sensitive sensor with large pixels on the one hand and the ability to improve the resolution for more or less static

Phew! Was worried you spent three weeks scrolling

I have unfortunately missed your photos due to not checking the same threads I guess but after Bobby's comments I checked your top 15 and WOW I love your architectural work! Truly inspiring, do you have a homepage or 500px or flickr (or anything) where I can see more?

Also, like Bobby said, Diego has really raised the bar for m43, this actually goes for Bobby and Juju1958 (Julian de Courcy) as well so I wouldn't say 100% single handily

Another one with harsh sunlight, I kind of like shooting in this kind of lighting. It's hard but can be fun and rewarding when one plays with shadow.

Cool shot Diego

How are you enjoying the Em5 II? As the Em1 or better? Any real difference?

Thanks

If you're not using C-AF and does not care much about ergonomics, Mark II would be my choice.

Coming from you Markus ... this is a HUGE compliment! I have been quietly checking on your images and competing with you in The Alt Monthly Competition ... and losing most of the time.

I have to say that Diego Martin (dukenukem) has single-handedly raised the bar for m43 shooters. Check out his website - I am sure you don't mind this, Diego! All images were shot with the Olympus OM-D:

Never used C-AF much although I wouldn't mind having it. Ergonomics is another thing though but I am actually getting used and liking the Em5 without the grip again, just re-learning to shape my hands around the camera again.

Thanks a lot, Rasmus! If you're interested in more images you can visit my website (link) or my 500px page (link). The 500px page is focused on architecture, my website is a bit broader.

Regarding your last image, that's a good example of what I like most about photography: you can create great images even out of less than good light situations if you know how to make the best out of it. Strong shadows and contrasts are often unwanted, but if you know how to use them, images like yours emerge!

Thanks Ulff

I did find your homepage via your profile on Fredmiranda so I've gone through most your photos while drooling already
Thanks for the link to 500px, will look through it right away!

Was this shot in the High Res mode? Love the detail in the foreground but I think a shot like this might benefit a little more with HDR because of the bright lights.

Lovely shot as always Diego, your landscapes are always superb! When do we get to see some with the new 7-14? *hint hint*
