I am sure this been asked before but I am new to MFT. Please bear with me.
I bought the omd-em-10 kit set last week. I have Sony a7r, Nex-7 and RX100 and use mostly either Contax C/Y or G lenses on the former two. The reason to go into MFT is to reduce weight on longer trip. I plan to switch the Oly 40-150 kit to Pany'a new 35-100 f/4.0-5.6 for its smaller size and decent IQ.
Unfortunately, when I went through this forum I found the images taken by Leica DG 42.5 are so amazing, I decided to include that to my future buying list. Before I do so, I have a fancy thought - wouldn't it more practical to just buy a Leica Summicron and use it with an adaptor on the OM 10. That way I can share the lens with my Sony and the additional cost may be justified.
Anyone has experience on these lenses with an Oly camera?
It's a trade-off, maybe a decent one, but no even close to the Nocticron on M43. On the other hand, you could share the Summicron with your FF Sony, so, is still a apples VS oranges matter
Really enjoying the E-M5 and the 45mm & 14mm. Now that rain has been falling for a few days I get a the opportunities to get images like the following. Both taken with the Lumix 14mm.
Three today from the Phoenix Zoo. Panasonic 100/300 with small Oly flash. Left my Metz 50AF flash at home due weight in camera big- big mistake, live and learn.
