On Friday I purchased the Olympus 12-40mm lens. As others have reported it is a great lens! It does however take the OMD from a small camera to Canon Rebel size, at least that is how it felt to me.
I do not have a cat so I had to take my first image of my dog. Also the required flower close up and landscape with uncooperative clouds.
Thanks Aaron! Frankly, I don't know why I took that shot at f16. f8 would have worked just fine I think. Having said that, I didn't notice any serious diffraction/sharpness issues. That PL 25/1.4 is an amazing lens and in some ways I regretted selling it after I bought the 12-40. The 12-40 should be just as good at 25 for landscape work.

bobbytan, amazing images. Interesting that you used f16 on your first image. Did you feel that you needed that for DOF?
Thanks guys... Yes, so far it's focused way more accurately than the Fuji. I've not tested it much inside in low light yet, but will this weekend. It also takes up the same space in the bag as my M-E and 50 lux... Although the lens is longer, the body is smaller.
