If you want to try and bash someone for hiring people to do almost everything for them then don't forget the other countless multimillionaire celebs too! Some people will just bash because they don't like him and want to demonize everything he does. Nothing new, he's been dealing with that for 30+ years, obviously he can handle it.
Haters gonna hate!
Baba Booey to you all!
My first words were, "I have been a fan".....I am merely making an observation about him that he himself has made about himself. I think he himself will admit it is a bit of a sad commentary about a persons life.
I have been a loyal listener for close to 20 years

That all you got? You can do better.
Funny I do somewhat agree, but as with a celeb status comes much judgement. But for a guy that makes a living bashing segments of society like gays and "little people" I think he can take a little heat as he laughs it off all the way to the bank. Had this site been posted without the Stern name we would have looked at the photos and had either mild praise or mediocre suggestions. But it wasn't, it was posted with celeb recognition and with that we judge. Personally I hate his radio/tv work and if that is the man so be it, but what does he care? Having the model "____ (fill in the blank)" to work with is certainly a plus, but does nothing to stretch the imagination like working with strangers for free or with paying clients. Say what you will about the guy, but he made is fortune, with obvious perks, off a dark side of us all, whether we admit it or not. As far as his photography, being in only a year, but with help, it is a good thing ... one that he can enjoy into his golden years as we remove him from our radar. Peace Howie. ...Show more →
There in lies the problem.....you obviously get your information about him second hand. If you listened to him you would realize he is one of the most vocal people as far as gay rights go. He is a comedian. His platform just happens to be the radio

There's also this: hiring someone to teach you how to do something is quite different from hiring something to do something for you.
His work looks pretty nice to me, and the from the few indications discussed and shown here, it would seem that he spends his money with considerably more "class" than that with which he earned it.

I think most of his work is over exposed and poorly post processed. It reminds me of my first year, so I don't hold it against him.
One thing that I don't like is his bio... "photography found me" What a load of crap.
I also don't understand why he is doing family and engagement sessions while not using his name. Seems odd. I would think he would hire professional models and try to produce provocative art.
He appears to be trying to do working class portrait photography to prove to himself that he isn't just a radio shock jock.
I think there is some weird psychology going on there.

I agree. I've never liked the guy, but that may have something to do with the fact that my ex-husband was obsessed with him.
I think the photography is solid, I see a lot worse here (often out of me).
But I agree with Tony, it feels like a cheesy joke or it was put together by a sentimental intern.
i never liked the guy, not my taste of entertainment, can not bash the guy for hiring someone to teach him (we all would if we had the money). So he found something he likes, good for him and i hope that he does well.
I listen to the show,he talks about photography all the time now.
He had lessons from a bid name photographer but i don't think that he ever gave his name.
He is crazy,he is pretty smart,he is very controversial but he sometimes is very funny and one of the best,if not the best interviewer in the country.
If you listen to the show, you might like it.
I didn't like the website either, but he might be trying to keep it clean so it does not get associated to his show.
About the pictures....I don't know much about photography,I've bn doing it for a year or so,about the same amount that he has,and i can tell you one thing,he is doing a hell of a better job than i am!!!
Congrats for him.

My friend says he talks about his photography on the show, so sounds real.
I listen everyday. He has named the photographer but I can't remember the name. The problem is he actually thinks he is a lot better than he really is....but i suppose we are all like that to a degree.

How do you measure how good he thinks he is vs where he is at? You got some magic scale that tells you exactly how he should feel about his work vs where his work is at, and the scale tells you he is off?
I respect that he has tapped his resources to improve something he is obviously passionate about. He has been faulted in this thread for hiring a photographer to teach him, why? Because he can? It's not like he can hand the photographer $75,000 and go now give me portraiture level 2, and boudoir level 1, thanks! That's nonsense, isn't it?
Fact is, he still has to invest his time practicing to get better no matter who is teaching him just like everyone else in the world. And if he is smart, which I believe he is he will not have that teacher as a crutch and do everything but rather like a good assistant or a go to when he gets stuck.
Interesting. I wonder how many haters would still hate if they didn't know it was his work? Not really interested in justification on this from the haters either. Just a thought. I bet most of you would not be able to tell it was his first year had the info not been there.
Also, what the hell does money have to do with his ability? So what if he hired a pro. ALOT of learning...a hell of a lot can be done in a short time with such easy access to the internet these days with endless info. If you are taking shots constantly after work, ect ect in your spare time and learning from it you can get pretty damned good with or without money.
Alot of jealousy here I think. And no, i'm not a fan of his at all. When you are percieved to be doing well, people come out of the woodwork to knock you down....unfortunate and really quite sad as it's usually the insecure or jealous ones doing the knocking.
