...and, any fees go to Wildlife Rescue. I, too, am rather impressed with what he has. Not a huge fan of the actual website construction, but the content is good.
OK, link didn't work for me on the iPad due to Flash. I agree that there are some nice photos there. I have his North Shore Animal League calendar, and many of those are nice as well. He is way ahead of me, but that's not hard to do
Personally, I am quite impressed since he only picked up a camera a little over a year ago.
He is not self taught. He hired a pro to teach him the in's and out's. He would even go with him on some of his photoshoots....must be nice to have that kind of disposable income

Honestly, with his bankroll I expected that, if you told me otherwise I would have been disappointed. So it doesn't change my opinion. And the fact that he did do that, just shows how he really is passionate about photography.
I see it completely different. The nice thing about money is you can do that, the bad thing about money is you can do that.....For me there is a joy in the journey of rolling up my sleeves and digging into something and truly teaching myself the skill....
On occasion he is teased because he literally does nothing for himself ie: hired driver, cook, stylist for clothes and hair, shrink to tell him how to think, writers for his show, has a workout coach, hired someone to train his animals and on and on and on. When I first heard he was into photography I was excited for him then he sheepishly admitted that he had hired someone to help him with that also....he also hired a chess coach when he was into chess a few years back
I think it's good for him! If he wants to put his money to use for that, well then, good for him! He can definitely take photos, maybe nothing worthy of being honored, but they are exceptional.
If you want to try and bash someone for hiring people to do almost everything for them then don't forget the other countless multimillionaire celebs too! Some people will just bash because they don't like him and want to demonize everything he does. Nothing new, he's been dealing with that for 30+ years, obviously he can handle it.
I actually get the impression that photography is something that he really enjoys. It is pretty cool that he can take commissions and just ask for donations because he is as rich as God.
I do not particularly like his branding but whatever. He is an interesting person.

personally I think he is as worthless as his photos
That all you got? You can do better.
Funny I do somewhat agree, but as with a celeb status comes much judgement. But for a guy that makes a living bashing segments of society like gays and "little people" I think he can take a little heat as he laughs it off all the way to the bank. Had this site been posted without the Stern name we would have looked at the photos and had either mild praise or mediocre suggestions. But it wasn't, it was posted with celeb recognition and with that we judge. Personally I hate his radio/tv work and if that is the man so be it, but what does he care? Having the model "____ (fill in the blank)" to work with is certainly a plus, but does nothing to stretch the imagination like working with strangers for free or with paying clients. Say what you will about the guy, but he made is fortune, with obvious perks, off a dark side of us all, whether we admit it or not. As far as his photography, being in only a year, but with help, it is a good thing ... one that he can enjoy into his golden years as we remove him from our radar. Peace Howie.
There's also this: hiring someone to teach you how to do something is quite different from hiring something to do something for you.
His work looks pretty nice to me, and the from the few indications discussed and shown here, it would seem that he spends his money with considerably more "class" than that with which he earned it.
