I'm not a wedding photographer, but in reading all of these posts a question came to mind. With all of the gear that most of you are toting around, what is your favorite way to deal with all of that gear on the shoot day? Specifically, for those of you who are very prime lens "heavy" what bag or system is your favorite for moving thru a wedding with your key lenses?
We've only got four lenses between the two of us (all primes), so we each keep one on the body and one in a small bag or purse.
I recently got some new bags/cases to streamline. I arrive with all the "gear" gear in a 1550 pelican case with a lock, a bag full of lightstands, umbrellas, some sand bags, etc, and an empty shoulder sling bag.
I then take the things I need to have on me and put them in the sling bag, leaving the pelican locked up to the side as well as the other bag. Typically in the shoulder bag I carry-

-580EXII in the bag
-Sigma 50
-135L
-Tokina 16-28 f/2.8
-1/4CTO and 1/2 CTO gels
-Spare batteries, AA and camera
I keep a card case in my pocket with all the spent/empty cards.
I keep the Backup camera (7D) with a card, battery, and lens ready to go on top of the pelican case during the ceremony just in case. The rest of the time it is locked up in the case.
Carry essentials in a bag, rest stays in a Pelican case or in my trunk for not-oft-used items
