Now this sounds AWESOME! I would love to see some of your wedding work.
x2. It's a dream of mine to get down to doing everything with a combo like a 35/50, 35/85, or 35/135. I'd love seeing examples of folks who do it all with just two primes.
How do you like using the 24G 35G vs the 24-70? Specific application or just rolling with it?

I wear a HoldFastGear Money Maker double strap system and have...
Right side: Mamiya 645AF + 80/1.9 (50mm full frame equivalent)
Left side: Canon EOS 3 + 35L, 50L or 135L depending on whether I'm shooting documentary coverage, portraits or the ceremony (in that order)
Around my neck: Zeiss Ikon rangefinder with Zeiss Biogon 35/2 if I'm shooting getting ready coverage, otherwise nothing
On my belt: Domke FX-5B ruggedwear 3-compartment belt bag. I either keep film in it (one pocket for medium format film, one pocket for 35mm film, one pocket for high speed film, front pocket for exposed film and I stuff my light meter in there wherever it will fit) or if it's really dark or reception time I'll drop a lens or two in there instead.
That's it. Everything else rides along in my Pelican case (5D Mark II, a few flashes, extra lenses, etc).

I'm not a wedding photographer, but in reading all of these posts a question came to mind. With all of the gear that most of you are toting around, what is your favorite way to deal with all of that gear on the shoot day? Specifically, for those of you who are very prime lens "heavy" what bag or system is your favorite for moving thru a wedding with your key lenses?

Sigma 150mm F2.8 Macro
Tokina 12-24 F4
Pocketwizards 4x
variable ND filter
Polarizer
radios/earpieces
2 sets of CF cards (one set stays in car unless I'm actually using them just in case)
Bunch of camera/AA batteries
Lightstands & apollo softbox
While shooting I have the D700/35 D300/85 combo on, with the 12-24 & 70-200 in a shoulder bag along with my cards & extra batteries.
Always attempting to keep camera gear selection as simple as possible. Shopping for a new wide, probably get another 12-24 F4G like I had before or just a 24mm.
D300 body (2)
85mm F1.8G
50mm F1.8G
35mm F1.8G
Tamrac slim shoulder bags and Tamrac lens pouches on waist
SB-800(3) with Stofen type caps
Stroboframe 350 bracket (2)
Pocket Wizard Plus 2 (3)
SanDisk 8 GB cards in aluminum wallets
AA batteries for flash
Things I feel when I read these Gear List threads:
1. Wholly crap I don't bring near this amount of stuff.
2. I don't even OWN near this amount of stuff.
3. People like to brag about all the stuff they own/bring to a wedding.
4. Maybe I should bring more gear with me next time around.
