Very nice lens.
Pros:
Incredible. Was great, had it cleaned and serviced last summer and now it is incredible. Have not used it very much in past year however as my photography is changing.
Glass is pristine: no fungus, no haze, no dust.
Exterior finish is almost perfect. From a foot away looks like it has never been used. Must inspect closely to see signs of use on the plastic. The rubber nubs on the focus ring look factory fresh. The lettering and numbering is clean and sharp. Rating it a very conservative 9.
Aperture blades move perfectly.
Aperture ring detent perfect.
Focus ring smooth as silk.
EOS conversion was skilled careful work.
Pictures are exactly what you'd expect: awesome bokeh, pretty sharp wide open, by f2 very sharp and contrasty.
Will not touch mirror on a 5D
Cons:
Does not focus to infinity. Focuses to about 30'. I never had this adjusted because I never cared about focusing beyond that distance with this lens. But it is not a big deal to have this adjusted.
Includes a 55-58 step up ring: this acts as a protector (like a tiny hood) and allows normal-sized 58 filters to mount. Has a Hoya 58 skylight on it.
