Well, tried my Contax N 50 1.4 yesterday afternnoon on my 5D III. Works like a charm. AF to me seems more responsive and snappy than on 5D II. Less hunting. Very happy with the results. Funny thing. That lens needed +16 or +17 microadjustment on my 5DII. Now it needs +14 on my 5D III. Tells me its more than likely the lens out of wack a tad and not the bodies.
Ran out of time as far as testing my other lenses.

That's ridiculous. Can't you even release the shutter if the lens locking pin is pressed in?

Update. My Fotodiox Pro adaptor doesn't work with my Zeiss 35-70 3.4 on my 5D III. Never had a problem on my 5D II. The Contax N lenses work very well, no problems at all.

This sounds more like a configuration issue. Can you shoot without a lens attached? Some cameras have a setting that has to be enabled to allow this, but I'm not familiar with the 5DIII.

Fotodiox M42-EOS and C/Y-EOS chips do not work on 5D3. Got error as soon as I mounted the lens and adapters on the camera. Screen would freeze with the error message, and shutter didn't work.
Please feel free to share your experience with different chips and adapters on 5D3.
Do you know if Fotodiox will update my adaptor if I send it back to them? Of course after they come up with some new protocols.
