Here are a couple of more. Was suprised by the first. The water level in a stream was low, and I was out in the middle trying to get some shots of some baby mallards, but the light was too low and they were too wiggly. I looked up and there was this fellow in a tree right above me. Didn't much care if I was there. Hope you enjoy them. Both taken with the 400/5.6, the first at 1/20 s, second 1/125 s.
I love your Night Heron shots Gene.... we used to see these up north every summer, but not any more. Don't know why they don't seem to come to this area much anymore... Kingfishers either. I miss em. Anyway, thanks for posting these, they're great.
They stand out from the background really well. Did you do any selective sharpening or blurring?

No, no blurring or selective sharpening. I do wish I would have shot the first with a wider aperature though. Its at f8 (set up for DOF on a number of baby ducks), would have been better at f6.7 or wider I think.
