While leading one of my workshops in Galveston, TX, I shot this Painted Bunting with the D800.

The image is approx 2% crop of the full frame image.

D800, ISO 640, f10, 1/250.

Alan - amazing details! Few questions - what are your thoughts on the AF with tracking BIF? How does the camera perform with TC attached? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Thang, I have not tried it for BIF. I would not use the DX crop option, therefore I would only have 4 FPS. Not a flight camera IMO. TC works great, but critical focus is necessary at that resolution.
