Not at all - in truth there is probably more IQ available with the A900/70-400 combo - But the shooting experience is all together different (i.e. Tripod, gimbal etc - vs hand-held spontaneity!)
WOW! Never thought of taking wildlife with my OMD!! Those pictures are GREAT!! Have you tried to blow up/print any of them - how far could you enlarge and not see defects? Going to go look for the 75-300 - Thanks!
Another curiosity... the humming sound... that's the IS working? Sounds a little like the IS motors in Canon IS lenses.
And the touch screen isn't really that much of a touch screen. You can swipe through photos in the preview mode but menu navigation still relies heavily on buttons. Sony's seemed to have a little more functionality.
Hope someone can help me with this. With my Canon DSLR, each time I take a picture I get an instant review of the shot on the LCD, with or w/o the histogram. This doesn't happen with the OM-D. I have to hit the playback button to see the shot I had just taken, which is a PITA for me. Can you set it up so that each time you take a shot it will instantly play it back on the LCD (with or w/o the histogram) at least for a few seconds?
Hit Menu - then scroll down to the wrench (Setup Menu) hit OK - then scroll down to Rec View (4th down) - change that to however much time you want the picture to remain on the screen - (remember you can always hit the "Review button" or half way press shutter release to cancel the picture and go back into shoot mode).
Cool ... thank you! Just one problem ... when I used the EVF to compose, focus and release the shutter, the image that I shot will only playback/display in the viewfinder and not on the LCD. If you take your eye off the EVF right after you've snapped the photo the image will not appear/playback on the LCD. Is this how it's supposed to be?

No, I have not had a chance to catch birds in flight yet, nor have I printed anything yet from the E-M5. In theory you can make up to a 20"x30" print that will look good if you do everything right!
I have only had it for a month or so - but so far I am thrilled with it's performance - and it is fun to use! The IQ from the 45 1.8 is Fantastic. The IBIS can represent up to a 4 stop gain! The whole rig weighs far less than just one of my FF Zeiss zoom lenses.
How do you assign Magnify View to Fn1? I just can't seem to do this. I pressed the OK button while holding down Fn1 ... and when I tried to use it by pressing Fn1 and spinning the control dial, nothing happens! What am I doing wrong?
I cannot believe this .... there is no auto sensor cleaning in the OM-D? My sensor is already dirty, on the first day of use. How do you clean the sensor?

AFAIK it cleans at power up, as all Oly cameras have done since they came out with the shaker plate... It's effective, but nothing's perfect. You must have been hit by something really nasty!
Phew ... for a minute there I thought there is no sensor cleaning. Can you activate the sensor cleaning function manually like a DSLR?

Anyone used the OM-D in the studio with strobes? How do deal with the VF going very dark when you stop down to the shooting aperture in M mode? Is there a work-around?
I did use a native glass (45/1.8) ... but because there is no mirror and very little light in the studio, the VF goes very dark at f8 or f11. What's live boost?

Use native glass is the only work around or turn on live boost.
