Nice shots, 12,800...I'm impressed. I shoot mine at 6400 all the time and rarely have to do any noise reduction in post. You have shown that there are usable files even at 12,800.
Thanks! Was a fun experiment and being the lazy #%!*# that I am - not going to bother with the RAW files.
So my daughter reminded me this morning "Daddy, you said we could go to the botanical garden today!" so packed up the Samyang 85/1.4, 16/1.4 and 35/2.
I decided to put Fuji's JPEGs to the test. All of these are jpegs with slight tweaks in LR (typically crop and vignette). A couple I had to actually do localized editing on because I was fighting the light and they held up pretty well.
16 @ 1.4
35 @ 2
(this one is SOOC, nothing done to it. I wish I could get my lenses to always vignette like this!)
85 at 1.4 I think
Daughter takes a short break with me. She's carrying my old NEX-5N (that barely works) with the 18-55 kit and managed to get some good shots herself.
Funny thing -- I thought a screen protector (that I didn't remember installing) on her camera was going flakey, so I ripped it off thinking 'wow that was really stuck on there!!!'
Yeah...it was the actual rear screen cover from Sony! Go to see glass underneath and some wiring around the edge of the screen, but it still works!
We had a new addition to the family this week, a 90mm F2 (oh, and a puppy). Decided to do a little test shots around the house. Overall pretty happy with the auto focus. For the action the Fuji tracks pretty well, but it is hit or miss to start on the puppy, which I'm wondering if it is due to lack of contrast with her coloring.
I shot the live show with Old Dominion and Kira Isabella on Friday night, these are with the X-T2 + XF50-140, quite impressed myself after switching from Canon 5D3 + L-Glass.
