I'm just griping about my local market. Few people 'get it' in these parts... it is frustrating sometimes. Mindset that would look at an Avedon masterpiece and call it 'boring'.
In some ways, I'm glad I have a decent full time job that pays much better than photography ever could... but my inner artist is still frustrated that people don't get it If I were a sous chef, I'd be in the same boat.
By no means am I taking away anything from this set- it really is superb work.

This set is just a class of it's own. Simple, clean, almost ascetic. But with such power... If you will by any chance shoot something in Poland, and need a second just say a word Or I can just carry your bags...

After reading all the comments I had to go back through the set again. Three things strike me. The compositions are so careful and precise. Very few geometrics that are cropped off (look at the hand railings on the stairs shots). After the second pass I get a much different feeling about the connectedness. There is a subtle, smokey, under-the-radar, behind closed doors type of connection the more you look at the set.
And finally, as carefully composed and as artistically placed as the elements are within each shot, what is more impressive is what is NOT in each shot. Dude took a few of us to school. Less is more.

Great set! At first I kept thinking, wo, this is dark and grim. But there's a connection that is felt (whether it's dreary or not). So many powerful images.

The textures in these blow me away...as I look at the photos, I want to touch them. It's as if I'm being drawn into the photo physically because of how my sense of touch anticipates the tactile feel of what I'm viewing.

Funny how some people think there is some disconnection between the two. For me all I saw was strong connection between them even when they were not looking at each other. Looks like they could read each other's mind. This is sick. I felt like I was watching an old black and white movie.

Guari, thanks for commenting. I did not find this thread first. Now I did. WOWOWOW!!! Many images and sets here are stunning, but these ... blew me outta my chair. Crumbling up again.
Artxas, by any chance, hints on how you postprocessed them (perhaps in PM if you don't want to explain in the open)? I really dig those heavy contrast b&w but don't get anywhere near these images
If I were a sous chef, I'd be in the same boat.
