the norm/ standard on this forum, for what is considered great photography is - justifiably so - set by the genesis crew: hoffer, hassas, inku etc and others of course; but mainly USA based photographers who understand their target market
artxs is based out of lithuania, eastern europe
you can see where I am going with this...
to me this set is one of the most romantic engagements sets I have ever seen on this forum and some of the best portraiture - 9 and 22 in particular
what I love about this forum is that it is about improvement and artistic innovation - artsx is contributing to that in a spectacular way

I like the art within the images and processing. I still agree with the replies regarding not much of a connection between the couple; they are disconnected in most of them to me. Some replies can say who cares as long as the photographer and client like them. However, they are posted here assuming for comment. The very first words to my mind was cool look, then disconnection.

I like 'em but they are definitely not what I think of for an engagement session. However, I don't agree that they are disconnected, the seem connected, solemnly and subdued. There are a couple beauties in there for sure! And she is gorgeous.
Canerino, what would you say if they were color? You are definitely a black and white guy so I wonder if that's why you love them SO hard?

3, 5, 15, and 19 are my faves. As usual very unique; awesome posing, compositions and processing (I think I write the same thing for each of your posts ).
For Albert's style i do NOT think color would be as strong. So much of the power here is dues to the tones and contrast that just wouldn't be present in color...
In regards tot he connection thing. A. Who cares. If that's what the client wants, then great. B. There are some that show a pretty strong connection. and C. The fact that they are both in the same photo, to the exclusion of anyone else, is already a very strong connection.
It's just so cool to see a photographer who 's work is so different. And the fact that it's awesome is, well, awesomer.

I do not think they would work as well in color. Part of my own draw to BW is that the eye can better focus on key compositional elements more easily. I think Albert deliberate use of these elements really calls for black and white conversions.
