Oh my I am so very jealous, I love his work, really outstanding for sure. How interesting Endre, yours and Lazlo's are the two I always save the post to look back at and the most I admire in this forum.
I love to processing on all but the last one, the table scene is especially well done.

Our dear friend and mentor, Lazlo, graciously shared how he does some of his beautiful work on another post and I thought I'd try it out on a few of my old photos. I hope you like them!
These are truly beautiful images Endre, especially the last one.
It is hard to produce a Still Life photograph that looks good in B&W, but yours is a killer.
BTW, I cannot claim that I have invented this technique.
I would love to give credit to someone as well, just do not remember anymore where I might have found it .
The most likely place is DavroDigital: http://davro-digital.com/
Thanks, Peter! I'm delighted that you like it! Emulating the style of a Dutch painting was what I was after when I set it up so I'm so glad that got communicated.
All the best,
Endre

All three are very good but #3 is great. Could be from a painting by one of the Dutch/Flemish old masters.
I was awaiting your comment, Lazlo, my dear friend! I'm so glad that I was able to do your technique some justice. It doesn't really matter that you got the technique from DavroDigital. Since you've made it your own signature style, I think it is still OK to credit you for it here on this site. Anyway, thanks again for sharing it with us.
Fond regards,
Endre

Thanks so much, John! I'm glad you like them although I'm not entirely sure what it is you mean by "spotty" on the left. I used a very large brush and just brought out the light that was already there. Thanks for the comment, though. I'll keep looking at it.
All best wishes,
Endre
Just the lighting seems a little strange with spots of brightness as if lit with tiny spot lights.
The process seems to have emphasized that by increasing the contrast.
This technique should certainly add a new twist to your lovely flowers.
Thanks for the input, John. Yeah, I think you may be right about the process emphasizing the contrasty spots. I'm not entirely convinced that that particular one is a "keeper" or not when compared to the original version. However, I do like the air of mystery it gives the other shots, and it particularly enhanced the creepiness of the Gargoyle, and I really like what it did with the still life.
All best wishes,
Endre
