p.1 #1 · Trying Out Lazlo's Technique

Our dear friend and mentor, Lazlo, graciously shared how he does some of his beautiful work on another post and I thought I'd try it out on a few of my old photos. I hope you like them!

I do not know the processing technique, however you have made a wonderful use of it. The third one shines a lot.

Endre, I am very partial to (and pleased with) the third, a beautiful nature morte.

These are all well done. I am also partial to the third for the rich texture and tones.

I too like the third, but the second has great potential. As is, it's a little spotty, especially on the left side. perhaps a slightly larger and softer brush?

Oh my I am so very jealous, I love his work, really outstanding for sure. How interesting Endre, yours and Lazlo's are the two I always save the post to look back at and the most I admire in this forum.
I love to processing on all but the last one, the table scene is especially well done.

Thank you, Mike! I'm so glad you like them! They are entirely experimental and I'm not sure I have the technique down yet.

All the best,

Endre

Thanks os much! I'm delighted that you like them.

Lazlo kindly responded to a question of mine on a photo that is still here on the front page of the B & W Forum "Waiting". Here's the link. We must all now always refer to it as the "Lazlo Technique".

Thanks so much, John! I'm glad you like them although I'm not entirely sure what it is you mean by "spotty" on the left. I used a very large brush and just brought out the light that was already there. Thanks for the comment, though. I'll keep looking at it.

All best wishes,

Endre
