I visited many of the sites here in this thread and not may list prices..
Why..because it says a lot to potential clients -
It's like anything else..
You get dropped a 5G price tag on something you know nothing about..chances are you're going to turn away and fast.
But when you visit the shop and see the item, see the product, see the seller, get whooed by the sales..all of a sudden 5G doesn't seem that big anymore..
We all know that clients who just shop by soley by price are not the ones we want.. There have been so many threads on FM about this..and since all the years that I have been here..very few..and I mean very few advocate to list prices..Let alone full packages descriptions.
The most I would put is a starting price..
I have never seen the top greats list one price on their site.. never.

Thanks Spencer, have been meaning to change that family stuff for sometime now as I didn't like it either. Raising my prices is another story for another thread...Believe it or not for weddings I am one of the most expensive in my area.
Yep ... we have had some interesting discussions over the last couple of year.... about raising prices in your area.
Hey Spencer, if you're still checking in here and will to take a look, I'd love to know... Even though what I currently have isn't that old, I feel there is a need for some sort of change.
I read through this entire thread, looking at some of the sites along the way. I also read your follow-up thread.
I've gotten some ideas on what might need to be changed from both, but I was hoping you'd take a look and reply here anyway.
Thanks, even if you aren't able to take the time for mine... there's an incredible amount of information here.

I wasn't trying to be coy Just trying to see if you had a valid reason is all. A lot of people don't and that's all that I was getting at.
When I make a purchase that is purely a luxury item (I don't need it but want it), it's hard for me to shop for that item if I don't even have an idea how much it would cost me. Often times when I find the price for something I wanted to buy, and at first it seemed out of my price range, I have to let the price "simmer". First I might be shocked, but if I really want it, I'll start justifying in my head why it's worth the price that I thought was expensive. I can never let the price of your service simmer if I have no idea what it is.
Some people are really good at convincing potential clients once they contact them, so there may be an advantage to your specific business by not posting a price. I just have personally found I weed out a LOT of people wanting to hire me that never could afford me if I post a price range on my site.
I am game too. I know i am not even close to what your market is (different country and stuff) so comments on price is not that important, but would like to hear your thoughts on design and pic selection.
Main reason? I am working on huge redesign (as this is over two years old, including photos) and anything helps at this point :-).

I'm super curious myself if I can still squeeze in here.

Portraits - $300-600 - is a complete collection really only $600? I know you stay "start" at $600, but let them know they should be spending more!
Weddings - $3000-6000
The way you have worded the "consultation is required" sounds harsh, I might re-word that so it sounds more inviting..."Please call to schedule a consultation for more details..."
You might be inadvertently showing a price range, instead of starting points. I know you state its starting points, but people might focus on the two numbers and think its a range. That was my first impression....
